Well, I'm way behind schedule, but I did just finish the applique-embroidery sample El has on the home page --- uuummmm, I'm not sure about it. I finally got the hang of how close to the fabric to the stitching so the edges looked finished. However I'm not happy with the bottom of the stem that is unfinished -- just a raw edge hanging there. anyway it is done and now I'm off to set up for taking pictures.
Happy trails, jacquie

Looks like we've got a good start to the sew-in today. I'm on my way to the la'er with the Wizard of Oz quilt. Then I'll be back in the sewing room for the rest of the day. Put a turkey in the Nesco roaster this morning, so there won't be too much to do for supper. The sun is shining but still windy, we'll be lucky to hit 50 today. Hope everyone has a good afternoon & I'll check in later.

Well I have a list of things I could/should be working on for swaps and that sort of thing but I think I am going to see if I can find a cute pattern for my MODA Strawberry Lemonaid charms I want to use the 2 packs I have to make 2 matching little girl quilts.

back from the la'er.......she's pretty much caught up with projects, so it looks like the quilt will be done THIS week!! Yippee, can't wait to see how it looks.
MAW.......can't think of any girly patterns for charms, but if I find one for you, I'll let you know.

Hey y'all! We are back from errands and the fabric store. DH made the mistake of telling me he is working at home here today, so I left the kids with him, loaded Ma in the car, and away we went! Hit the library book drop (living room cleanup yielded two misplaced books), dropped a bunch of stuff off at the donation station, then on to fabric store.

Ma found a really pretty pansy print she likes...I found the coordinates. Her quilt will be El's Tossed Nine Patch; the pansy print will be the border. I bought a bit extra to cut into patches for the top as well. Barring major snags, I should be able to get the top done at camp this week.

Once we were done with all the running about and agonizing over fabrics, we decided to go out to lunch...Chinese food, a favorite of both of ours! Now I am drowsy and want a nap; I am having a cup of coffee to try to perk up.

Off to toss all those lovely new fabrics in the wash!

So I took the charms and paired them I am going to make them 1/2 square triangles and then piece them every other one with a ehite square. very simple but I think it will be cute.

Dang fabricgirl, you were up and going early this morning. I hadn't even gone to bed yet.

Well I've advanced to the last and final border of this quilt. The fans. I started cutting them out and they should be pretty easy. I hope. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. Looks like everyone is busy today. Lori
