a top needs a quilterQuilter found see vagrandma's post UPDATE 1-24-10

Post by IowaGal » Sun Jul 26, 2009 8:24 am

A very short while ago, I sent vagrandma a quilt pattern, fabric and instructions to do a charity/pfth quilt following the make ahead plan I outlined in an earlier post. It has no final destination, It is one that will be waiting for a future need. vagrandma got it finished, and now it needs to be quilted. If someone would like to practice machine quilting, this might be the thing, or if you would like to do a feel good project, this might be the thing for you. If you are interested let me know, so she can send it directly to you and I can arrange for the backing and batting to be sent to you.
Thanks!

UPDATE this quilt was auctioned off for 400.oo at our fundraising event. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen, The charity was RAC of Rockisland county, they assist those with special needs.

I saw a photo of your quilt. It is very nice. Do you know the name of the pattern and where I might find it?

ctherrie, the pattern is called "Dutch Windmills" by Quilt in a Day. It is on our website. It is made using printed light weight fusible interfacing.

Sharon, did you find a quilter for this quilt??? If not, maybe you could post this on the "Chit Chat" so more could see it??? If I had a long arm I'd volunteer myself, but I just have a domestic machine and two quilts waiting for me to do.

I have been remiss in not posting this sooner. Astitchintime has graciously offered to quilt this top. Thanks to everyone for your support on this project!
