What size blankie for Destiny
Destiny is now up to 4.5 lbs WOO HOOOO. Off ventilation and any other life supports. She is finally able to were tiny clothes. What would be a good sixe blankie for her. She has a darling little quilt made by a lovely member here, and the hospital lost it for almost a week in the "wash" until Nanna and Tasha pitched a fit. I think maybe she needs a spare or two but am trying to decide what size. She is out of NICU but still it the tiny baby section and probably will be home in about 2 months. Such a miracle that this sweet one was born at 28 weeks in an emergency section and with us and doing well. Any advise would be appreciated.

Re: What size blankie for Destiny
If you are going to make the blankie to use while she is still at the hospital, you may want to make it about the same size as a small receiving blanket. Other wise I would make it a bit larger as Destiny will be able to use it longer once she is able to go home.

Re: What size blankie for Destiny
When we were making quilts for the baby ICU unit at a hospital, we made them 18,24, and 36 inch square. The smaller ones went to the little isollete units or whatever they call them now, while the larger ones were better for wrapping baby to see mother.

Thank you so much for the advise. I think recieving blanket size would be wonderful. I really would like to do a booboo or binkie blankie with some minky on the back also, just for the touch.
