Re: Binky Brigade
Thank you Judy! They really were fun to make.
I got the ragtime directions off the Moda Bake Shop website. You're right, the seams get sewn up/outside, clipped, then dampened and put into the dryer. I'm going to let my 13 year old niece do a few of those.

Hi. I was happy yesterday to get a postcard from Binky Brigade, acknowledging they got my package. I'll do some more when I get the chance. Deb

I just received a post card also. Looks like they are getting quite a bit of advertisement. They were on the "Live with Regis" show and QUILT Magazine did a feature article.
Now that I know they received them, I will possibly send a few more also.

Re: Binky Brigade
I saw the title of this discussion and thought this would be a good place to post this. I know the binkies you are doing are different but perhaps you could help in another way - for another organization that gives binkies to children in need. Ours need to be at least 3' square. I am new here so I wanted to introduce myself and send out a shout for assistance at the same time. I am the area coordinator for the greater Philadelphia area - the Narberth Chapter - to be specific. We are a brand new chapter and in need of quilters to donate their time and quilts for children in need. To learn more, feel free to go to http://www.binkypatrol.org/page.cfm?name=pa_falkoff. If you can't help with a quilt, we can use new 100% cotton material 'kid style' if possible, cotton thread, low loft batting...and the list goes on.
You don't need to be in the Philadelphia area - or even Pa - to donate. You can be anywhere.
Anyone in the Philadelphia area who is interested in ongoing participation, please contact me. I need fellow volunteers for things other than quilting.
