BarbieJean........the quilt show was alright, nice quilts to see but only 9 vendors, none of which had lots of things to look at. I only bought one pattern, no fabric at all. I hope that the show in Appleton on Oct. 18th will be better. We did go to a little shop in Plymouth, Cynthia found quite a bit there for her son's quilt. It was a really warm day, but we had fun.

Just got back from a birthday party/cookout and am beat. I was playing with a 5 yr. old and a 2 yr. old and my knees are letting me know.

Pam, I have that bread book and I love it! That bread is amazing. Have you tried the pecan muffins? I love to make those to take to
parties and stuff. I insisted my mother get me that book for Christmas one year and she couldn't understand since I'm a librarian why I wanted a book

Cathy, I know what you mean about the rain. It's been over 3 weeks here. Everything is crunchy. There are fires starting at the spots where people are dropping off debris from the wind storm.

I'm going to head for sewing room. May not get much done, but it really gives me some mental peace to be in there.

Well I'm not having a good evening. Added the borders to my top pieced the backing finally got it right.....went to lay it out for one last look before I take it to the LA and.......one block is turned the wrong way throwing the whole pattern off.......Now I am suicidal trying to unsew and refit this block the correct way.....If I were amish I would have left it and kept the quilt for myself but this is a gift and its queen sized I don't want to do it again. Just let me vent and then laugh because you know where I'm coming from...lolXXXOOO

I'm calling it a night. Got to rest up for the "Eagles" concert tomorrow night, so I know it'll be a late one. Just looked up the seating chart & the tickets I won are valued at $87 each. Can't wait to have a nice supper at the Olive Garden & then do a little shopping beforehand. Both places are within 4 blocks of work, so there won't be too much traffic to deal with. I'll catch up on Tuesday & bet that my ears are still pounding! lol Hope you all have a great night.

ME - The Eagles concert sounds like soooo much fun. Have a good time!!!

CaroleJ - I have been off-line for a few days. Did your house get delivered? (Yes, I did get a chuckle about your posting in yesterday's thread.)

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I worked today, and I am beat. Hope tomorrow will be a little easier so I can get some sewing done after I get home.

That oatmeal/brown sugar bread sounds scrumpsious. I'll be looking for it so I can try it too.

Rosie I hope your burns are feeling much better.

I'll talk to everyone tomorrow or later in the week. It is still pretty early, but I'm gonna head off to bed.

Night

Thanks to all of you for asking. The burns are much better, although I really felt them in a hot shower this morning. Only had one finger really blister, so I'm considering myself lucky.
