Oh my!!! I completed my gold Christmas wall hanging (except for the binding) and it wasn't the normal relaxing quilt experience. I just uploaded new photos.
Quilting on the gold blocks with the gold thread was VERY difficult because I couldn't easily keep track of where I was. I had to stop a LOT to see where I was and where I needed to go next.
Now I just need to relax for the rest of the evening to ready myself for another fun week at the office. LOL

Re: Sunday Sew In June15
Well, its 12:20, so technically June 15th's sew in is over, but I only just completed my wall hanging. It turned out ok, still have some wavey edges, so that was kind of disappointing. I was told, on an earlier project, the wavey edges was because I pulled the backing too tight when I taped it down and then pinned it. This time, I just smoothed the backing -- no stretch at all, so I don't know. But since this is one of the few projects i've made for me, guess I can live with it <g>
Yes, Susan, it was my horse that had gotten hurt. His leg is healing very nicely...still don't know if he will have any scaring, but we had no infection, no proud flesh, and he didn't kill me! The last few days of hosing and scrubbing and then doctoring it was getting kinda of iffy if he would succeed in killing me -- he was just trying to tell me, he had enough and as far as he was concerned, he didn't care if he didn't have a leg, but he wanted me to leave him alone!! He won that battle <g> thanks for asking about him, susan!
My latest animal problem -- the mama cat who had the babies (I posted a picture when they were first born) is no longer with us. Today is day 3 without mama. Fortunately, her babies are old enough to be weaned, but barn kittens are 'slower' than regular house kittens. They get to eat from mama till she decides to stop them or doesn't return. She kept her babies where I could interact with them, so they weren't completely scared of me. Now when I go to the barn, they come running when they hear me calling them. I'm still giving them kitten milk and dry food, but it will be a little while before I know if they will make it through their first life crisis. Life is always intertaining on a ranch!!
Ok, I've got to iron a uniform and off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day -- I'll be conditioning my mare on a 30 mile ride. Will probably take all day! Yuk!! Happy trails, jac
