Good afternoon to all & Happy Mothers Day!! I survived meeting my future DIL & her parents yesterday, we had a wonderful time. It could've been warmer outside, but then I live in Wisconsin, right? Ran some errands this morning & now I'm here for the rest of the day. Talked to both of the kids today so that was really a nice start of the day. Not quite sure what I'll work on, but need to get my butt in there. Tul......hope you have a good dinner with Jeff & your boys. Hey Cynthia, just how much did you order yesterday??????

Took me only 3 hours to cut and arrange my next 10 blocks.
Now I'm busy sewing all the strips together assembly line way, and it is going really fast. Actually LOL it is the time that's going fast.

Hmmm, only about 1 1/2 hour left to sew before I need to get ready to go out for dinner.

Thanks MeQ for wishing me a nice dinner with 'the boys' (LOL, they ALL tower over me, and I'm not that short at 5'8")

*C* What was it that your daughter needed secretive the computer for? Was she indeed working on a Mothersday present?

Fabricgirl, how were the grilled ribs your DH made you?

Jacquie, your life with your horses sounds like a dream to me. I LOVE horseback riding.

RedTop, yeacks, a morning without koffie. Even though I drink decaf now a days, I Love my Sanseo koffie maker.

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is having a fabulous day. I've got one more side to sew on the Heart's and Apron strings quilt and the top will be done....done...done. Not sure how to quilt it yet. I might just take it in to be done. It's a queen size and I'm not sure I want to hassle with it. Lori

Hi I'm baaaack.... ME I bought 4 of the sets: lavender/purple, reds, greens, and blues. I'll be sure to let you know when they get in, we can plan a day of it:)

I didn't work on placemats -- but did spend a lot of the day hand quilting, while watching sappy mother's day movies. I'm making oven fried chicken, and as soon as I post this have to start the rice.

Speaking of Mother's day movies..... when my son was born - just 28 years ago, he was born on a Thursday night, and I brought him home on Mother's Day. Boy did I cry...... between post partum depression, old Mother's day movies, and wondering if I was going to mess this kid up bringing him up on my own, I was quite a site!!

Hey Susanna- Where in Del Mar did you go eat.. we just drove through there and Solana Beach on the way home from the Birch aquarium... we were going to go to Outback for lunch and it was way to crowded so we ended up at Taco Bell (LOL) in La Jolla for lunch and spent the afternoon at the aquarium and drove along the beach home... we also stopped to see the baby seals at the children's pool!

Hoping to get the quilting on my butterfly quilt finished... almost done... yippee! I really want to go get the victory quilt fabrics and start that but want to finish with the butterfly and all of DJ's swaps done first...

Happy Mother's Day to you all!

Cheers!

Alina, Bjorn and Sandor took us to Ruth and Chris's Sreak house in Del Mar. They made the reservations a week or so ago.

It was really yummy. Crab cake and stuffed mushrooms for appetizer. Lamb shabnks with spinach soufle and sweet potatoes. Berry in custard cream, with a Rutsh's Koffie (decaf) to end it all. The boys brought me a pot of Tulips, LOL why any other flower right?

It is so neat to see the 'boys' all grown up and independant. Sandor is 33 and Bjorn is 31. We have 3 more children, Jan-Willem 29, Michael 24 and Amanda 18.

As you can see, we're back home, both in comfy jammies. Jeff is watching an animated BearWolf movie.

I don't know yet what I'm going to do with the rest of the evening. Late enough to take my night meds, too early to go to bed, too late to go back to sewing. I see better earlier in the day.

I hope all of your Mothers day was as blessed as mine was.

*FluFFs* all around.

I prolly will play some jewel quest sollitairy

Bummer Mother's day -- I did get the four blocks I've been working on, finished this morning -- then the day just went downhill! No breakfast, no lunch -- gave up waiting on DH, went on into town to pick up a few things and treat myself to lunch at Jack in the box -- big mistake...within the hour I was sick to my stomach and felt just horrible the rest of the day and evening. Even though DH was suppose to fix me supper, I had to pass on that cuz I was feeling so bad! DD had given me the heads up that "something" was coming my way on Friday, which didn't show, nor did "it" show up on Saturday and she didn't get around to calling till 9 pm tonight, hopefully whatever "it" is will show up tomorrow. So hhmmm, seems this just turned out to be one of those days. Ok, woe is me, I'll quit feeling sorry for myself --- tomorrow. Happy Trails, jacquie
