CindyG........I was just looking at the Tennessee Waltz book and wondering if I had enough "guts" to try one. Maybe later this week I'll try a block and see how it goes. What colors are you thinking of doing it in?

Alina - Yes the block lotto this month is for any block as long as it is 12-1/2 inches (12 inches finished).

I have had the ac on here off and on all day. It is too hot!

Well, I've almost finished the quilting and it doesn't look too bad. Of course, could be better, but its almost done! Wheeee
Will finish it tomorrow afternoon (maybe). I have a dr.'s appt in the early afternoon, but should have plenty of time later. He wants to see me every 6 months, but I really don't know why. I'm upright and breathing.

I got some solorcane for my sunburn that helped some.

My dentist called me in some more Loritab, I am able to eat soft things on the left side of my mouth but still nothing on the right.
I am going to call the endodontist every day to see if he has an opening hoping he can get me in before the 7th.

I haven't even entered my sewing room today, but I did buy a cute little digital camera to take to Long Beach with me. So that is sorta quilt related. LOL :O)

Hi everyone....
I am just finishing a visit in Florida-- had a wonderful time. Every day was in the mid 80s, no humidity. Every meal we ate outside, and my brother is a wonderful cook. He has a nice boat, went out twice-once fishing and today just for a ride, and out to lunch. When I am home I might post some pictures.... we've had fresh seafood two days, played cards, and got a little relaxing in, which I needed.

Mequilter... almost 40? yikes too bad I couldn't extend my visit:)

Now my brother is getting ready for work tomorrow, my SIL and DS are watching TV.

I sure miss my sewing machine!!

Good Evening Gals

Just checking in before I call it a day, get my coffee pot ready for morning and then get ready for bed. I've had a great weekend and haven't been out of the house since I got home from work Friday nite. It's been wonderful. Besides getting a few of the chores done on my list, I've spent most of the time sewing! I'd do a little chore, then head back down to the sewing room. Sew a lot, throw in another load of laundry.... took a little nap... then got up and ironed clothes for the work week.

This weekend I finished up my Granny's Garden Blocks, decided to go ahead and make two sets since there were so easy, once I got the hang of it. Then whipped up the 3 blocks for the June Lotto. Then worked a little on Kevin's side of the quilt. For your newer gals, I'm working on a reversible for my DS and DIL--they were married last June 8th and I am hoping to have this quilt all done before their 1st anniversary. I've used El's "Pink Lemonade" pattern for both sides--Sara's side is blues and lavendars--the colors she used for the wedding and Kevin's side is Golf prints in khaki, navy and burgundy. He is studying to be a Golf Pro and just finished the 1st of 3 series of tests in Florida (he passed all the tests of the 1st round and still has 2 more to go) I just have to put the last of the 3 strips together, then add the borders. Then it will be ready to take to a LA quilter. Once that is finished, I'll be ready to tackle another project--just haven't decided which project I want to take on next. I suppose if I was smart, I'd start Chrismtas projects so that I wasn't doing them all at the last minute.

Last Sunday I ordered a massive amount of QIAD fabric frenzy fabric and am thinking it should arrive tomorrow or tuesday! Can't wait to get my hands on that!! Thought I should do my part to stimulate the economy! I also ordered the mini flying geese rulers and am anxious to try them. Last nite I looked through all the Victory Quilts fabric too and added a lot of that to my "wish list"--ordering some of that will depend on how much Uncle Sam decides to send me for my rebate! Part of me thinks I should save the rebate check for a "rainy day"... but on the other hand--if it rains I'd have fabric!!

Hope you all have a great week ahead.... Tomorrow is only Monday, but I'm already looking forward to NEXT weekend, when I just might be able to head to the cabin--if the 12" of snow they got is melted!
