Hi Iamruth. Welcome to this wonderful forum. You're gonna love it here.
As to the hearts: Eleanor's Mom passed away last November 15, 2007. Susanna/Tulpje started a project for people to make a heart comfort block for her in memory of her Mom. Her intention was to get them to Eleanor in Dec/Jan. But then unfortunately Susanna and her family got sick. Fortunately, they're better and able to go to Paducah, so she decided to take the hearts to Paducah and give them to El in person with everyone else there as well.
I hope you're able to read some of the posts from Paducah and some of the swaps threads to see what's going on that you want to jump into. There are several swaps you may be interested in that are still open to additional participants. And there will be more as the time goes on. Also, you might want to get involved in the Secret Pal swap. There is still time to get into the May one, if you want. You need to contact, via PM, cindyb. She's the host. carol/kittyquilt

Hi, all!!! Welcome to the forum, Ruth! In the "Swaps, etc" forum, there is information about the secret pal project, or let me know and I can PM you - you can send me a private message by clicking on the envelope next to my name on the left.
I didn't get to see all of the other hearts, because I wasn't able to go to the Saturday evening dinner, but I did see El's reaction when Susanna gave her my wallhanging Sunday during class - it was all well worth the effort! You would have thought that my simple wallhanging was the most precious thing in the world to Eleanor - who has so much! But she's a down to earth person, and appreciates all that we did!

Thanks so much for the welcome and the info. I am relly looking forward to this. Like I don't have enough going on....but I guess we are all the same. Take on much more than we have time for. At this point I feel like I have to live to be at least 250 to do all the projects I would like to do. Heck, I have to live to at least 100 to finish all the UFO's. So what's a few more hahahahaha.
It sounds like you guys really have some fun and that's what I like to do. Talk again soon.
