Cotton Theory-Jan 08 Country Woman Issue

Post by TheKid » Fri Nov 23, 2007 2:32 pm

The magazine has highlighted Betty Cotton in the magazine. Beautiful and very interesting. Sometime ago, someone on the forum mentioned this and I had not heard of it. The story has given 4 pages to this theory and gives good detail. Now, if you are this person, give any more detail on this if you can. Interested.

I tried the placemat and it was too much work...for me. I LOVE the way her quilts look though, beautiful! I still have one her patterns and video. May try it again one day, Amie

I tried a placemat and it was a lot of work but I liked the result. I haven't yet tried a quilt, which would mean more work and might turn out to be a little stiff. I like soft quilts that drape well.

A couple of years ago, I made a Cotton Theory lap quilt. It was the most tedious thing I have ever been involved with. A friend and I took the class. She finished the quilt and told me that I should also which I did. Neither of us will ever make another one!!!!!

Same here! Your funny :o) I do love the way they look though. Really nice! I have the book and video, in the video Betty Cotton never smiles...not once. She seems angry or something, weird. Amie :o)
