press n seal on a long arm quilting machine
Is it okay to use press n seal on a long arm quilting machine? Will it hurt the machine?

I doubt it will hurt you machine, but if you are doing a design where the stitches are real close, I have heard other LAs say it is hard to remove later, so watch out for that...

Water soluable interfacing works better for me. Picking all those itsy bitsy pieces of Glad out after you've removed the bigger pieces really sucks. I prefer the water soluable, I just spray it with water and it's just gone. Amie

Re: press n seal on a long arm quilting machine
I used PressN'Seal when I free motion quilted (I'm a newbie at it).
One complaint is that sometimes the free motion foot drags on it so I have to make sure to stop often and lift the foot to make sure it will move freely.
Another minor complaint is that if I sew directly on the marked design line, sometimes some of it gets carried into the stitch hole and leaves it darker. So I make sure to sew just inside or outside of the line, then I have no problem.
I haven't tried paper yet, so I don't know if I will have the same problems with it.

Well, I just love Press'n seal. A lady on another forum told me about it. Can't get it in the UK so when I visit across the pond I have to bring it back with me.
I like the idea of the soluble interfacing though, thanks for that tip, I will try that next (a tad more expensive though!)
