I like Kona fabrics and would not hesitate to use it for backing. If its good enough to go on the front its good enough to go on the back IMHO>

I use wide back fabric, piece backs, etc, what ever it takes to put a nice backing on a quilt.

I use primarily flannels for my backings. It's so nice and soft, makes the quilt more friendly.

I have used Kona on my quilt backs & it's very nice. I've also used the wide fabrics & have pieced backs, so it's all good :)

I love the wide backing fabric. I first ran into this wide backing when we were on a mission trip in Bolivia, South America. They have had this wide backing for years. The quality is not as good as what the wide backing is here, but it nice. The colors were beautiful.
I also like the Minkee for the backing. It makes the quilt so soft and cuddely. But, I sometimes use the left over scraps for the backing and just add borders to complete it. I will also do a plain color, and then reverse the blanket from time to time.

I'm new to quilting. I haven't finished one yet. But I have one sandwiched. I'm using a sheet for my backing. Some of the ladies that I'm learning from said that it worked out fine for them. Some of colors in my top, are in my sheet. I'm excited about finally finishing.

Quilterbee, thanks for the tip on marshalldrygoods.com What a bargain!
I use patterened fabric for my backs now. If I catch a good sale, I stock up and get 10-12 yards for backing...
Used to use solid Kona or muslin, but that seems kinda boring now.

I like to use the 108" - 110" wide backings if possible.
