I have purchased some fat quarters. Most are christmas. I plan to make christmas stockings and a few other things.

I also purchased some fall fabric from Nancy's Notions. I plan to use the fat quarters as leaves in a table runner.

Any other idea's from you would be helpful.

QIAD's Buckeye Beauty quilt (in Through the Seasons) uses fat quarters and it's a really pretty quilt.

I use them in most all of my quilts, as I like to use lots of different fabrics & colors. I always tell people I like to make my quilts dance & I don't do dull boring quilts, mainly because I know I will lose interest & never finish them. I spend more time cutting fabric this way, but I really love the results. Works for me!

Has any of you ever purchase flannel fat quarters? If so what did you use those for?

Hi Debj, Yes I have bought flannel fat quarters and use them in piecing flannel quilts. I have done 9 patch, a 4 patch, and Bricks & blocks using flannel pcs. Sure makes a nice warm quilt.

There is a book called "Turning 20" and a sequel that uses FQs. Hope this helps!

I just recently learned about Fat Quarters myself and I use them for the Turning 20 books. The items listed in the book all use fat quarters and they are just the right size for cutting our the patterns in their books. I haven't used them for anything else yet, but did buy 160 off of Ebay so I plan on make either a Crossing Pathways or 9 Patch with them for my king size bed.

You can really get some deals on Ebay regarding fabric. I once got some reproduction Fat Qtrs for 1/2 of what the LQS was pricing theirs.
