My friend went to Calif. and brought me home 1/2 yard of a batik that had several painting designs. I really like it, but have not found it yet. I was in Paducah, and didn't see it there either.

I don't think we've established yet exactly what painted batiks are. All batiks are basically painted (with wax resist method) and hand dyed. But are you talking about something that has actual paint on it?

In order for it to be a batik, doesn't it have to be the wax method?

Hi Y'all
I found out more about the 'painted' batiks....visit
Merrivale Fabrics website and go to batiks. Look at Indo Batik Green with paint or any other batik with 'paint' in the description. That was what I was asking about. Thanks
