Quilt Batting
Has anyone used the 70% polyester/30% cotton batting? I understand that it is a thin batting with just a little bit of bounce because of the polyester and doesn't shrink as much for quilters like me who don't like the "shrink look" after trying to keep the puckers out while quilting. I have used the 60/40 blend, but don't care much for the way the sewing machine needle goes through while quilting it. Any comments about a favorite batting? And why?

Re: Quilt Batting
Good question. I haven't seen this one. I am looking for a lightweight/thin batting for a quilt project I'm working on now.
By the way, I'm new to the group. My name is Linda and I live in Maryland (since last August), but originally from Alabama.

Re: Quilt Batting
There is a discussion on quilt batting in the General Forum (now on page 3). Maybe you can get some ideas there.

Re: Quilt Batting
I bumped the batting topic to the top over in General Discussions.
Hopefully the information will be useful to you.

Re: Quilt Batting
I have such a problem with bunching and puckering on the back that I tried the iron on batting (One side is fusable) A lot of gals dont like it, but I like the weight and the fact that I can machine free hand quilt it with out bunching/puckering and I can pin baste it.

Yes that is what i like to use, and it doesn't shrink, very soft.
