Quilt in a Day Forums

I just watched the Farmer's Wife video... It looks so interesting making this quilt without templates.. I'm wondering if the book gives the information for making the blocks as shown in the video? If not is there a book with such information? Thanks in Advance..GB

I think Sue is adapting the patterns to the QIAD (easier!) way. I imagine that the book shows the blocks using the templates, but I do not have the book so I can't say for sure. I enjoyed the video, too, and hope I can watch future ones. The quilt looks very interesting.

The book pretty much just has a picture of each block on a page, the templates shows you how to cut everything, I think the video is showing us a way easier way to do them. We've started a sew a long for it over in the swaps thread so we can all help each other come join us

My book came with a CD, which I've never looked at. But QIAD's videos are showing how to do the blocks their way, which should be much easier!

Eleanor books/patterns are very well explained and with a video it just adds to your making the quilt.. You will love her books..

I've been watching the video's of Sue making the Farmer's Wife blocks the QIAD way. Would love to get a book with the directions.
