our small quilting group in our area has started a traveling quilt there are 9 of us doing it I make the decision on what I want my quilt theme to be and make my first row as wide as I want my quilt to be next meeting member number two gets my row and makes something to go with the colors and theme I picked next meeting someone else takes these two rows already put together and adds there row to it etc. now my problem is the lady I am making her next row has picked as her theme red white and a touch of black that doesn't leave me with a block that I can think of just using those 3 colors to make a row that looks good what block pattern would look good using those 3 colors ??? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated sorry for this post being so long but trying to explain the quilt progress

How about a block like this one:

that has red on the outside, white on the inside and a small square in between in black?

There is another block that would look good also, but I can't remember the name of it right now!

Here's another one: http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FriendshipBlock.html
