It looks a little wrinkled because I had it rolled onto a cardboard tube. I am ready to layer, pin, and quilt, but not sure now just how to quilt it.

I could do a wavy stitch that is programed on my machine. Or, I could echo quilt around the applique pieces.

Any suggestions from you would be appreciated. I don't want to take away from the hexagons as the background, but feel it needs at least a little quilting. Since it is just a wall hanging, I feel I can do minimum quilting.

Thanks,
Vel

I am going to work on it today. Maybe I will have a picture of it finished by tomorrow. :)

I am keeping it very simple. Less is MORE.

Trying a new kind of hexie. It is a Sue Daley pattern call Cuatro Colors. You still use paper pieces and hand sew but it is great for fussy cutting. I have lots of flower fabrics perfect for this. It takes about an hour to make one medallion from start to finish. Great for putting my post surgical foot up for a rest.l If you are interested, Missouri Star Quilt has a tut and supplies just put up this week. I had to get my supplies from Australia....way expensive!!
Enjoy.
