need ideas
Hello, I need some ideas for a quick baby quilt. It's for a little girl, premmie, and my dil wants it all girly.. Any ideas for a fast, quick quilt? I would prefer El's methods.. Thanks

Re: need ideas
Hi, When I need a quick baby quilt, I head to the LQS and pick out a cute panel, find some matching backing fabric, and something for a border if you want to add one.
If you do El's birthing method of sewing a sandwiched quilt together, no border needed unless you want it larger than the panel. Then I just stitch around some of the larger things in the panel and some quick edge stitching to hold it all together. Fast, easy, and always cute.
The candy cane lane quilt is cute too. Or just make one out of charms sqs and then add a cute applique on one corner or in the center.
Have fun and God bless you as you quilt and the baby as they use it.
Hugs, Shirley Mae

Re: need ideas
Shirley Mae, that's a great idea! And I've done that myself. But another quick idea is a snowball quilt, fussy cutting whatever figures in the fabric you are using, if there are any. And flannel is so nice for backing for that snuggly effect.
