Good news for Jane! She's going camping! She's all packed up in our trailer and if I get my poinsettia blocks finished for my DD's Xmas quilt, and if we don't run out of gas for the generator, she'll get to come out in the sunshine to play!! I have about 90 blocks finished. It will be fun to revisit my old friend.

Mary, wow...90 blocks! I finished 9 and I'm done. I put them together and layered them. Now to stitch in the ditch and I'm finished. I do admire all of you who are making the entire quilt. It's a calling. Just not mine. Lori

This is my entire Dear Jane effort. It still needs to be quilted.

Jacquie, those are all amazing. Lots of time in those quilts.

JACQUIE - thanks for the "show"! What fun to see all those quilts! One of these days maybe we can put our own DJ quilts in a show! Mine is getting a lot of miles on her, but not much stitching lately. But when I get home from this short trip, I'm going to leave her out in plain sight on my work table instead of closeting her away. Maybe she'll at least get some oxygen that way! lol!! Mary

Hope you are doing better than me working on Dear Jane. I haven't had my Dear Jane project box out for quite awhile. Need to get it out next week.

SHERRY - I've moved my DJ box around some, but haven't actually opened it since last January. It's my travel project and we haven't really gone anywhere this summer. But maybe when I finish my current quilt, and then a few small non-quilt Christmas gifts I'm making, Jane can come out for air. I miss her!

I have completed about 90% of the blocks and it has been so much fun! Now I am starting to think about what to use for backing and would love to hear some ideas. So far all I have heard mentioned is muslin, and that sounds appropriate (what did Jane use?). However, I would like to at least consider some other options.
