Pattern name

Post by girl » Wed Aug 04, 2010 5:14 pm

I was wondering if any one knows the name of a pattern that almost like the sue bonnet girls but, their hats flair out to the side and up. My mother in law talks about them but, doesn't know the name or can't remember them. I like to find them and maybe I can get her to start to sew. I thank you for your help.

El has a wonderful pattern for Sue (& Sam) and thanks to Pam I just saw El's "Wake up Little Susie" quilt that was at Houston in 2000:

I googled Holly Hobby and sure enough I am sure that is what your mom is talking about. I had forgotten about these adorable little girls.

Better Homes & Gardens has a 501 quilt block book that is all 4" squares. They have the sunbonnets in there.
