Pattern using rose fabrics
I wonder if all quilters start out with a "would like to do some day" list. Gosh, my list is great but my accomplishments are slow coming. Some day I would like to do a quilt with all rose fabrics, or maybe a few more plain-er fabrics to go in with it. I was thinking of something like the yellow brick road becasue of the size of the pieces. Would I use lights and darks? Should I use different size rose pattern fabrics? My gramma's rose garden was vibrant, bright colors, would that be okay? I got my love of a rose garden from her. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Colors would depend on the colors in rose fabric. It would be beautiful however you did it, Keep us posted. Buy a fat quarter or two, or three...and cut them into squares and place a sashing you like with each of them. Like a nine patch. Take one rose fab and use all of the same in a sample. Then try them all in a pattern. Good luck.

That sounds really pretty. I think you would want different colors and pattern (floral) sizes to give it character and flair. After all a garden has many colors and sizes.
And Yes we all have a long list of wanna do someday. If I complete even half of my list, I will live a long and happy life. MMMMMM.

Thank you ladies so much. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one with a wish list. I have a flannel rag quilt that I made out of two different rose flannels. One with cream background and the other with an olive green. Becasue I am still really new at all of this fabric, patterns, etc., I never even realized when I bought the fabric that I actually had the reverse of each other. It made a wonderful raggs. I will keep you posted.

The Summer Porch quilt would look fantastic with all rose fabric. The pattern is in Quilt Through the Seasons.
Also, half-square triangles. Do large ones, with light rose fabric on one side and dark rose fabric on another. Or, how about a leaf pattern on one side and a rose pattern on another side?
