Paper Dolls
Has anyone been using the paper doll fabrics? I want to make a quilt and make the clothes that my Grand daughters can play with, have any of you done this? Someone had said to just use felt on back of the clothes for them to stick to the quilt but I am not sure of that, do you have any other ideas? These paper dolls fabrics are so adorable and bring back so many meemories!

Re: Paper Dolls
I wonder about using little tiny buttons on the quilt on the dolls shoulders and then little loops on the clothes to fasten? Hmmmm This may require more thought. lol Great idea. Anxious to see what some of these wonderful folks come up with for ideas. GeorgiaPeach may have some ideas. Pam??????

Re: Paper Dolls
I would stiffen the fabric - maybe with a heavy weight interfacing - then maybe use one of those velcro dots with the soft side on the quilt and the rough on the doll clothes. Good Luck - sounds like a great quilt!!

Re: Paper Dolls
I quilted one for a local lady here and she used fusible batting for the clothes which worked well for dressing the dolls on the quilt. She also put a Velcro pocket on the back to store the clothes in. I will try to post a photo of this quilt as soon as I get home.

sjkl50 remember paper dolls that we used to cut out that were made of paper and they came with outfits that we cut out and they attached to the dolls with little folding tabs? There are fabrics now with these darling little dolls and their clothes printed on the fabric. They are very cute!

Re: Paper Dolls
When I saw the Paper Doll pattern in Fons & Porter I knew I needed to get some fabric for DGD. Had a hard time finding the dolls & clothes, could find other coordinating fabrics...finally found them in Texas. I brought this project with me, but haven't started it, yet.
