I'm thinking of getting some of the packs of fat quarters on QIAD to make a tossed 9 patch quilt. I'd be making it for our baby boy who will be born in February.
For those of you who gotten these FQ packs, are there lots of florals? I'd want less florals and more "boy-friendly" fabric patterns. I know that the packs are each different, but are they in general overwhelmingly floral? I'm thinking of getting either red and blue or yellow and blue. I'd need a total of 13 "usable" FQ I think. The rest can go in my stash!!

What about using charm packs? You don't have to cut the squares. I bought from www.fatquartershop.com. They have loads of fabrics by the yard as well as charms packs. Even boy stuff. I used charm packs to make by tossed nine patch.

I agree, charm packs are the way to go with this pattern.... the "blocks" are already cut and you just sew them together....
I bought the kit for this pattern from QIAD and was glad to have the squares pre cut....
