I am new to quilting, I want to make a memory quilt of special pieces of clothing for my little boy. Because I will be using all different types of fabrics, is there a certain pattern you would suggest? Hopefully fairly easy since I am new.

Thanks,

Leah

I just finished the same type of quilt! I used Quiltville.com's Stepping Stones and Bricks and used the clothes, curtains, etc. for my bricks. Amie :o)

I used the crayon box pattern from quiltville.com to make a quilt like that, I would suggest if you have any flimsy fabric use some sort of stablizer.

Welcome!
I would probably use a 9 patch.

I once did a Memory Quilt for a lady whose husband had died when her son was little. She wanted to give it to him. I used Eleanor Burns "Nana's Garden." Her instructions make patterns easy. It came out beautiful. Good luck.

Why not make it really easy and just cut squares...like 6" or 8" and sew them together.

It's your quilt. You decide how involved you would like the pattern. You can do it!! I wanna see pics when you're done :)
