how many books and patterns do we all have that claim to be the easiest, fastest quilt ever?...what is your vote for the easiest quilt you ever made?

Re: easiest quilt ever!
Reversible Quilts by Anita Murphy. I still use this pattern for most of my fast quilts. I don't do the reversibles but make the back all one color. When you are done putting the blocks together, you are done. No quilting needed. I've seen this method resurface every so often and renamed to a snazzy title but it's still the same method. It's one of my most used quilt books. Her reversible binding method is the easiest. It's the only way I do binding.

So far the easiest has been the double Irish chain... but that may change after I finish the project I am doing I am going to do a trip around the world... I hear that one is easier yet.

I think the 9 patch and stripe in the still stripping book is the easiest and you get two quilts for the time of one.

I've done two that have gone fast - split rail fence and the tossed nine patch.
Of course, a panel quilt goes together real quick. I just finished one. It's a rose panel and all I did was put two plain borders around it. I'll post a pictures as soon as I get some energy. Today, I'm real tired for some reason. :^(

For fast and easy I'd have to say 9-patch and rail fence.//
I am interested to learn more about the reversible quilt mentioned by Sewbug. I am going to try to find that book.....

Sewbug, Im really interested in that reversible quilt. I cant find a picture of one on the web.
My (almost 12) granddaughter loves to quilt. Im always looking for easy patterns for her. I would like to see a book before I buy it. What other snazzy title have you seen?

Mcmema... I thought it would be much harder than it was... but it was amazingly simple.... I was truly surprised....
Wehn I finished it and saw how easy it was.... just strips and sewing them together and making more strips into blocks.... that's when I decided that the QIAD way was the only way....
Try it, you will be amazed.
