cindyg - update! I tried ONE MORE TIME and soaked the fabric in the vinegar - when I washed it the color catcher was only very light pink! So, I'm calling it a success!! Thanks again!

Joannequilts - I'm sorry it took so many tries. That red fabric must have been really saturated with red dye. I've never had that much problem. Every time I give my fabrics a vinegar bath it reminds me of when my kids were little and we used vinegar while dying Easter eggs.
