Re: machine quilting
I am very pleased to read about the Slider. I have been looking and thinking. They are a bit pricey but sound like they are worth the money. Thank you. Jo Ann

Hi Oasis and all, and thanks for the info on the slider. I really must order myself one. Haven't been able to do much sewing over last couple of days due to lots of pain between shoulder blades and kneck after my practise sessions with quilting. Think i need the slider and perhaps raise myself up a little more. Soon be back in action as am really missing it .

Oasis...thanks so much for posting the info about the slider. Since I have sold my longarm, I am going back to quilting on my regular machine and will need all the help I can get. I have never seen this, but it looks really great. I like the fact that it looks flexible and will cling to the machine rather than stick out on the edges if that makes sense.
Now I just have to learn how to move the fabric instead of the machine. Loved the longarm, but just didn't get enough use out of it to keep it. Lady is coming Saturday to pick it up. I will hate to see it go.

Linda, Thank you for all the information on the Supreme Slider!! After checking it out, I have placed an order for one. I have been so exasperated with machine quilting dragging and puckering, that I was about to try the quilt-as-you-go method, doing small sections of the quilting, before joining, even got the book "Divide & Conquer" that shows several methods. That seems like more handwork involved, so the Slider is just what I need!! Thanks again!

Re: machine quilting
Just wanted to add a really nice thing that LaPierre Studios did for me and the Slider. I had bought one of their original Sliders 4 years ago in Nashville. I used it with my old Kenmore sewing machine. When I got my new Bernina a couple of years ago, I did not use it anymore. Last month in Paducah, we saw the Supreme Slider at their display table. I told them that I had bought one in Nashville. They offered to upgrade mine if I would just send it back to them with a check for the difference in cost. I went ahead and sent it back, and within a week they had sent me the new Slider. I am anxious to try the new one. The other one worked very well on my old machine, but you used to have to tape it down. I did not want to do that with my new machine. So this will be an added incentive to get busy quilting my UFO's!
