Lee, we can blame our frenzy on FF all on Cindyg. LOL Yep, she kept on tantalizing us with talk about FF just knowing we would fall for it, hook, line and sinker. ROFLOL That is my story & I am sticking to it. Isn't it just beautiful fabric!!!!!!! I love it all. Been trying to think of a good use for the Pyrite. Any ideas?

Marge, I am too. WOn't get to start it anytime soon though. I still do not know what to use the Pyrite color for. Guess I could use it for a Licorice Ice Cream. Not really that pleased with that idea. LOL

I prefer to use "tone on tone" fabrics instead of solids. I will almost always buy a couple yards if I find an attractive neutral (ivory, cream, tan and such), or a tonal print of a color that appeals to me. May have to do a swap sometime, though, to clear out pieces I am unlikely to use again...maybe?

Oh, Cathy, I'll gladly take the blame for the FF frenzy - I LOVE the stuff!!! You can say "Cindyg made me buy it!". Ma-Pic, I have my Fairy Frost all ready to make El's ice cream cone quilt. It will be a while before I can start on that one. I bundled up my FF and my cone fabric and tied it with a ribbon so it won't get lost or used in something else. Uh-oh, my analism is showing again. LOL Fairy Frost puts me in the best mood!!!

I've been collecting the FFs for quite a while so don't worry, Cindy, you didn't corrupt me. :)

I'm planning to use mine for a random star quilt with a black bacground. I was thinking the silver pyrite would make a great comit.

Let's see if I ever do it, cindy! This has been a PIG and a WIM for quite a while. But, now that I'm quitting Walmart and have a set schedule again....

Hi. I am new to this quilter forum, so I may not be brief.
My answer to carrieg about what to do to match her over supply of calico's is; to separate them into colors. Many may be all matchable by one color. Say, one calico has green, blue and yellow, another red, blue, and white, another has yellow, violet and blue. One color that would go with any of them is a blue, get a solid blue.
Clip off several of the calico's, then glue them small to an 8x11 paper and keep it in your purse. (If you don't carry one, I can't help) anyway, the main colors will be at your hand to see to put next to the solids, or patterned solids to see what you need. If the small pieces have how much of that material you have of it written down, you can see how much of the solid you need. Plus, if you keep it in your purse, the small pieces don't get lost, and it is with you whenever you shop. I wish you good luck.
