Re: Cotton Theory-Jan 08 Country Woman Issue
Well, I'm thinking about making my little GS a new quilt using the Cotton Theory again. I love the look of Betty's quilts but I did not enjoy making the placemat...in 2003. SO, I just re-watched the video and dug out an old mag with a free Cotton Theory pattern in it. It's weird how our like and dislikes change over time and how we come back to things that we once really hated, lol! Amie

hhmmmmmmmm, It seems sort of difficult to me. Also seems like it would take all the fun out of quilting. Guess I'm just wierd. Maybe I should try it before deciding.

If you like building a quilt instead of sewing one, you will like the cotton theory. LOL. That's the way it seemed to me.

No, I think I'm the one who's weird, hahaha! But, I'm going to give it a run one more time before throwing the video and pattern out, lol. Crossing my fingers, Amie

I started a Cotton Theory quilt once. It is kind of like making a rag quilt except instead of clipping the large seam allowances you fold them under and stitch them down. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

That's about right, Cindy. It's the Highway and Byway technique. Amie
