Re: Jelly Roll???
A friend bought a couple of these and made a really cute quilt, but
she wasn't thrilled with all the strings of threads she seemed to have to deal with.

Re: Jelly Roll???
Before I really knew what I was doing (and I'm not saying I DO know what I am doing most of the time) I had a bunch of odds and ends of fabric and figured I'd just cut them all into strips! How smart was I??? Made my own Jelly Rolls! Actually at the time I was thinking I would just have them handy in case I wanted to practice making Log Cabin squares!
I tried a new way of storing them by getting some wire hangers and clipping coordinating colors onto the hangers with clothespins. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the storage idea, but at least they are ready whenever I'm in the mood!

Yeah, there are lots of strings fraying off the edges of mine, too. They probably have to use a machine to roll them up like that and all that handling causes them to fray. What happens to them if you like to prewash your fabric? Your 2.5" strip may become a 1.5" strip!

Re: Jelly Roll???
QuilterBee....this is really off the subject...but I wanted to share something about bees that I read today. There are 27 states that are having this problem...no bees. Brazil, Canada and Europe are facing the same problem. 80% of our food comes from the bee pollination.
So...we may just be left with Quilter Bees and the Bees Knees. The latter goes back to 20's or 30's. Not sure what it means....

Another one that won't be buying 2 1/2" strips. And I hate to cut fabric but I cannot see buying these. Look at our stashes and think of the $$$ if we cut them & sold 2 1/2" strips!!!!!!!!!! OMG!

Re: Jelly Roll???
With all the fabric swaps going on, I'm surprised that no one is doing a jelly roll swap!
I can't head one up, I'm doing the Egg Money BOM. Does anyone want to head one up.
