Re: what is everyon working on
I am starting my hand applique quilt for next year's show in Southern California. I have one entered in a juried show for this weekend. I am also practicing free motion quilting while I wait for my QIAD Log Cabin book to arrive in the mail so I can start my log cabin that I have wanted to do for several years now. I have been saving up my strips so I can make one.
Someone suggested that every time I cut fabric for a pattern that I cut a 2-1/2" strip and put it in a tote with others that I have cut so that when I start my LC quilt I will have strips already cut. I am well on my way to having enough for a queen or king sized quilt.

Re: what is everyon working on
I just completed my very first Regular Quilt for a bed, it was a Valentines Day present for my boyfriend, I made it with all sorts of patchwork style pieces and sewed them together into chains. I then made two side borders with solid black and flames for the sides, then I filled it with batting for comfort...then, I made him a pillow for his bed of pictures with him in his fire uniform on it as well as his fire station...those were fun to make and came from the heart...I know he'll love them...I'm going to post them on here for yall to see as well and to enjoy...

Re: what is everyon working on
Believe it or not, but I just finished 5 Christmas wreaths from, El's log cabin pattern. They are all labeled and ready for 2010 delivery.
Wow. I really did them in a conveyor belt method. It seemed to work.
So, now I am working on some fall leaf patterns from El's turkey and leaf table runners. They are turning out beautiful. Also, just about finished with a simple 9 patch graduation gift for a few years from now. It will take me that long to finish it. A queen size, but in pinks and blacks. The material was bought at 2005 Paducah tent sale. Beautiful material that was a good price.
I get alot of little sewing done now, since I am babysitting for a couples new born at their home. I pin, cut, and do what I can at the house, bring it home, sew, and take it with me the next day to finish some more. Fun, fun getting it done. My DH just thinks I carry too many bags with me. But, they have different projects in them.

Re: what is everyon working on
I am working on a beginners class quilt-the autograph one-Early Fire crackers in yellow, blue and creme instead of red, white and blue. Almost ready to sew the blocks together.
I am also working on the Farmer's Wife 6 inch mini quilt blocks. Harder than I thought for a beginning quilter, but I got some much needed help at the store from Annie-Thank You! I am also working on finishing (quilting) my first quilt I made for my Mom.
On Saturday, I went to a quilting class given at the store by Susan Thompson-great class-great teacher! I highly recommend it if you can get into the classes. I feel confident to quilt a quilt, now.

Re: what is everyon working on
Well I got my Irish Chain done, but not quilted I am sending it to the quilter, now I am working on finishing a lap quilt from a class I took 4 years ago. It is a quilt as you go quilt and I don't really like this method but I spent to much time cutting(something I will never do again cutting out the whole quilt for a class I'm not sure I like should have done a wallhanging) and to much money on the fabric which I love so I have to finish it the way I started it. Maybe it will be OK when it is done. I hope so anyway. I have EB applique quilt done and it is quilted I really love the way it turned out, I need to get the binding on it soon. All quilters have something to work on, I hope to finish some of my projects but sometimes I just cant resist starting a new one.

Re: what is everyon working on
Well everything i was going to work on has been put on hold, my one and only darling granddaughter told me she is expecting a baby. she is 9 weeks. so we, her boyfriend her and i went shopping at the quilt store thursday. she found what she liked. of course since the fabric came out in the middle of last summer i bought what they had at the quilt store then did what the quilt store owner suggested. i went on line and found 3 diff stores that had the rest of what i needed so i got all the fabric i needed. the quilt store even had the free pattern. the rest of the items i am going to make i have found free patterns on line. so quilts, bumper pads, dust ruffle, curtains, diaper stacker, diaper bag, and all the rest.
my daughter in law has just learned how to crochet so she made a trip to store for baby yarn. we are going to have so much fun doing this room.
