I scrounged around and robbed charms from a bunch of packets to get the light shades I ruined and I think the project is still a GO! But, I have no margin for error now without having to go with a completely different color scheme.

I know we've all done this at one time or another, but you feel so stupid at the time and you can only ask yourself, "What was I thinking?!"

Judy, I love your attitude! lol, pass a donut to me and lets get fat together! lol Can't tell you how many times I have done the same thing and just push it aside and move on! lol, works for me! Hang in there sister, the next one will be better. Count this as a "learning experience!" You are my kind of gal!

I always have a secret stash of chocolate so when I mess up or get frustrated I just walk away and have a piece of chocolate. I also messed up on a kit, a Christmas kit and am still looking for a fabric that will replace the miscut one. Carol

Oh Judy, hand a donut over to me too. I cut out 7 inch strips for a quit top and now I can't find them. It wouldn't be too bad but I think there were about 40 strips and I can't believe I misplaced them.
I will have to re-cut them, I just hope when they turn up I can find something to do with them.

Sometimes the more interesting quilts come about that way because you have to go off the 'beaten' path and improvise.

When I really mess up a cutting job and get frustrated I toss the whole mess and forget it ever happened.

I messed up like that just last week. I had 2 15" squares that I needed to cut in half diagonally for corner triangles. I cut them in half twice. Ruined 30 sq. inches of fabric. Luckily I had bought extra so I had enough. But it made me mad at myself for being so stupid and I threw the ruined ones in the trash. It's only fabric.

I've done this b/f too and still have those silly triangles, I keep seeing them and thinking that maybe I'll do something with them! This was about 4 years ago, they would make great confetti!
