T shirt quilt

Post by 4shyannie » Tue Jun 24, 2014 7:42 pm

I'm making a t shirt quilt and don't know what size or type needle to use since the sashing is a batik and of course the t shirt blocks are knit. Thanks for any advice; have been searching everywhere for the answer!

I think you can use a universal needle on knit. I would try a ballpoint, that's for knit, and see how it does on the batik and stabilizer you have behind t shirt material.

I use a ball point needle, size 80 or 90. Test a small peice to be sure it works for you before seeing on the real thing. It may seem a bother, but it can save you time and a headache in the long run.
