fund raiser
June is coming and I normally donate a quilt to this. My son is in charge so I have to do something.. It's for the ffa scholarships so I try to go farming fabrics.
I have some chicken fabric and would welcome pattern ideas. I Prefer one of El's. I have done the country lanes a couple of times or maybe it's 3 times for this fund raiser.
I you have an idea for fabrics too shout it out. I'm not sure how many folks are into chickens in this area now. Maybe summer porch would be a good one in soft florals..
Thanks for the help.

Hole in the wall works well with prints. I did one using Kokipeli's. You could do a hole farm theme that way. Its els pattern and goes together very quickly:))
here is pic of it:) to inspire you.
You could do chickens in center with chicken wire fabrics and wood grain maybe; egg print I think it would look darling:)

Considering it's for FFA, I would look in El's Barn Blocks book for inspiration.

Sandy, I have lots of John Deere and maybe one Case fabric. Let me know if you need any before next month.

Summer Porch was exactly what popped into my mind as I read your note--before I read you thought of it too. Florals are always pretty with the lattice. Of course, I love chickens... Sunflowers would be pretty... All farm-themed fabrics seen through the lattice...

Sandy I also have several John Deere prints which I would be glad to donate if you want them. Just let me know. I bought them to make a wall hanging for DH and never got to it.

Re: fund raiser
Son suggested another red tractor quilt as it did so well the last time. Another country lanes for sure. Thanks for all of the suggestions and offering of fabrics. the last time I made one the label said "green is good but redder is better." The one man's eyes got huge, he prefers green. Such rivalry between tractors and colors. Good grief no wonder there are so many wars over such little stuff.
