What quilting pattern should I use
http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/Betsy ... d.jpg.html
Hi there, I love quilts but am not a quilter. My work colleague is a passionate quilter and allowed me to pick out whatever I wanted. This link is the picture of what I chose, which is a quite colorful and geometrically random mix of squares. I wanted asymmetrical and random but what I got is busy.
She now wants to know what quilting stitch I would like to use. If possible, I would like the stitch pattern to tone down the impression.
Could any of you experienced quilters help me answer her question?

Oh Betsy, that is gorgeous. I think it would help tame it down if you put a couple framing borders around it with fabrics that read as solids. As far as the quilting design, I'm not sure. Good luck with your decision.

I am a long arm quilter and I like the all over pattern's I think a pattern with flower's would be really nice I love to use the verigated thread's from Superior Thread's (king tut) you can find one that has several of the same colored fabric's you used. You will need to think about your backing at the same time I do use two different color's of thread's sometime's. Your quilt top is really pretty I love all of the color's in your quilt. Bev

Thanks Bev and Mary! I've passed along and will incorporate your suggestion Mary. She' ll take out one line of squares along the side then add two framing borders. Bev I'll pass along your suggestion to the quilter. She's been puzzling over how to complement rather than clash. Great idea!

I can"t see the quilt. Is there another way to see it? This link won't work for me.
