Looking for star pattern- -from quiltmaker mag featured around 1989

I am looking for a star pattern that was featured in quiltmaker magizine somewhere around 1989. I have a quilt half finished and can not complete the pattern. I have always called the pattern star within a star. Have found it for foundation peicing but I do not do that. Also this pattern had diamonds around the entire quilt. Broken star pattern is similar but have not found one that is not foundation peicing. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have picture of quilt I have finished so far and I also need the pattern as I made the quilt in mauve and green but also have material for a purples one.

Could you possibly post a picture so we could all see what pattern you are referring to? You never know what we all have in our sewing rooms.

You can go onto the magazine web site and look at the older issues they have and maybe able to purshase it from them. I looked at mine and didn't see any sorry.
