Blade Shapener
Has any one ever used a Rotary blade shapener? Do they work?

Funny you should mention that - I just got one from my son for mother's day though I;m not sure I'm using it right. I think that I'm not taking long enough to sharpen the blades. How many twists and turns do you do before it's considered sharpened and how can you tell - besides trying it out?

New blades are quite expensive, so decided to buy a sharpener I bought mine from Fabric Depot, its an orbital sharpener from USA Sharpeners. It works great but you need to practice on a few blades (I had a lot of blunt blades so It wasn't a problem if I ruined one!) Like stargate fan you have to try it out to see if its sharp enough.
Good luck, Robyn
