Has any one ever used a Rotary blade shapener? Do they work?

Funny you should mention that - I just got one from my son for mother's day though I;m not sure I'm using it right. I think that I'm not taking long enough to sharpen the blades. How many twists and turns do you do before it's considered sharpened and how can you tell - besides trying it out? ;-)

New blades are quite expensive, so decided to buy a sharpener I bought mine from Fabric Depot, its an orbital sharpener from USA Sharpeners. It works great but you need to practice on a few blades (I had a lot of blunt blades so It wasn't a problem if I ruined one!) Like stargate fan you have to try it out to see if its sharp enough.

Good luck, Robyn

The Orbital Rotary Cutter Blade Sharpener by USA Sharpeners works great.
