I thought the articles were light-hearted and some were humorous. I have enough patterns to last me a lifetime, too, so I'm not too concerned about those. I'm going to buy another mag as soon as I come across one. If I like it, I'm subscribing. Thanks for the input.

I love Mark as a designer and person. But, I am in both of his Yahoo groups but I just finally got enough of the soap opera type talk. Same with his mag. One month, plastered on the front page was something like -"Is your partner cheating on you while your quilting?". I didn't find the article to be very inspiring. I took his mag starting with the very first issue like 2 years go. At first, the article were very fresh and inspirational. But then it started to get rather dull with so many reference to things that I can read in Cosmo. And, the regular reference to sexual orientation which most folks don't care about, it still makes it into about every issue. Too much trash talk for me although there are some good info in his mags. I can get the same ideas at Lowes or Home Depot. JMHO, Amie

The paint chips are all shades of the same color. I have trouble putting different colors together.

I pick it up once in a while. I like to read through it, but I think I would tire of it quickly if I got it all the time. Lori

Antoher option to the paint chips is to use the paint websites.
Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc...

I like to look at their color collections, or play with trim, accent, ceiling and wall colors... to get some ideas when combining colors.

(Then it's off to the colored pencils and graph paper, or EQ programs)
