Crutch covers - any ideas
Okay so last evening we went to camp. Had a wonderful birthday party for our grandson. Had the most torrential rain and electrical storm anyone could ever remember, and I fell and broke my ankle. There crutch hand grips and the under arm rester things are UGLY!!!. Anyone have an idea of a simple, not too complicated hand or armpit type cover. I am totally grounded for3 days and have to see the specialist, but after that I can learn how to use my left foot on the presser for the sewing machine. thanks and have a great afternoon

Chrissy,
I am so sorry you broke your ankle. I broke my leg a few years ago and also found the crutches very hard to deal with. How about a sock? You might rig up a square pad then attach it with velcro. (Something smaller but the same shape as a pot holder with velcro straps). Would that work?? Please let me know if it does, my crutches are in the closet as insurance not to need them. LOL

Chrissy, I am so sorry about your accident. I don't know about crutch covers, but I found that I could use my left foot on the sewing machine pedal after my hip surgery!! It was as easy as using the right foot. So good luck with that in 3 days!! I hope you have a fast and painless recovery!
