Clover quick fusible bias tape
Has anyone used the fusible bias tape from Clover (or a similar product)? Is it fairly soft after being fused, or does it make the quilt a bit "stiff" where it has been sewn to the fabric and after quilting?

Re: Clover quick fusible bias tape
I have used it quite a bit and it stiffens the quilt a little, not a whole lot. I've used it on stained glass type wall hangings which have not been washed so I don't know if that would soften it. I think, maybe it will depend on how much you use and how dense it is.
Good luck and have fun with it.
PS the clover mini iron is the easiest way to apply it.

Thanks for the info, sunsup!
Haven't decided yet if I'm going to use it. Now that my work is starting to slow down a bit for the summer I really want to get started on two new quilts. One of them is already halfway pieced, but for the other one I can't decide on the design. Even though it is for a bed and not a wallhanging, I'm playing with the idea of trying out the bias tape, approximately 4" apart. I guess that wouldn't be too dense?

I used it on a table runner and washed it. I had to zig zag stitch it down because it started to curl up at the edges.

sewbug, did you think the tabelrunner felt very stiff due to the bas tape?
