Dang it all, Kathy...I keep looking at your picture and now I have a bowtie quilt calling to me...! Shoot! Like I *need* another project?!
Yours is just so pretty, and I guess I never really noticed the secondary pattern that pops out when you put multiple bowtie blocks together...

THANKS!
OKay this UFO will be on the sewing machine today! I'm leaving it just the way it is so it will be small. I don't feel like making more blocks.
The blocks are only 5 inches. I used up SCRAPS! That is why so many different fabrics. I have a couple of pieces that may be large enough for the triangels and corners and the borders.

Kathy, I am with everyone else on point, no sashing. MMMMM I am starting to think about a pattern I have for a 3-D bow tie. I think I will look it up.
Happy Quilting.....Kathy

Hi Kathy
That is the one I did...the 3D or origamiblock as some call it. I love making it. It is so easy and only three seams. I also have a larger one started by an older lady and given to me. It was cut from templetes and the fabric is like 70's. Some blocks were done and some the fabric was just cut. So once I finish this one it will be on to the larger one.
On that note......It is just as you see it, on point. I sewed the top together and added one border. I am trying to machine quilt it. I have only done stitch in the ditch but I am trying to do some stitching around the bows. I'll let you know how it comes out in a day or two.
