((((Judy)))) hugs. What kind of sewing machine do you have? I can't believe the bood didn't show you where to drop the feed dogs. Dumb book!

I've tried FMQ a very little. I'd really like to learn and I guess pratice is the answer.

It's a White #979 and I just looked at the manual again and in the very back I taped the receipt and the warranty. It's older than I thought and I paid a lot more for it than I thought. Got it in 2001 and paid 499.99! I just googled it and the same machine is selling on the internet right now for 199.99.

Now I'm really depressed. lol

Wendy, Right now I don't have a quilt I am just practicing with quilt sandwiches. It will be some time before I'm comfortable enough with the process to actually try on a real quilt, but it sure is fun.

I got up early and went to the local Sew and Vac to get a FM foot and a walking foot for my machine ... parked the car ... walked up to the door and nearly had a stroke. The place was gutted! A contractor walked over and said they were closed for remodeling and that I'd have to go to Hillsboro if I needed something. I was so flustered that I forgot to ask when they might be reopening.

Oh Judy, (((((hugs)))). How far is Hillsboro? Is there another place near you? Could you order online? I hope your luck changes real soon.

It's only a 20 minute drive, but the city traffic is too crazy for me ... so I just came home and will wait until our store reopens.
