Has anyone know of a site to access when searching for fabric that is old or outdated.

It depends on how old the fabric is. If it's only a year or so, I occassionally have luck finding it through either the FabShopHop search engine or the Quiltshops.com search engine. If it's older than that, you can try posting an ad on Missing Fabrics.

Last year I was able to buy some fabric from 1996 on eBay. I bought a 1/2 yard piece and there was another auction for a 2 yard piece. You never know what you're going to find there!

WOW>>>OMG>>>
I didn't know about this! Thanks knitnoid! I have been looking for patriotic fabric to make a quilt in Eleanor's Quick Trips. I emailed QIAD and Linda said they no longer have the fabric. So I have been on the look out. I have tried eBay but the list is so long it will take a while to look through.

Marie, thank you for your suggestion to google the information printed on the selvage. Have not tried it yet but you asked how old the fabric is. I think it is three or four years old. Thanks to all you quilters for your help.

I love ebay fabric but you have to watch the sellers feedback. Ebay Express is a new thing too and they have some good stuff. I found a lot of Marcus pansies and bought all I could find that is outdated.

Oh and there is a seller on there that says they are a quilt store going out of business. They have really nice fabric but they are running a scam. They list shipping at 4.25 but when you buy the stuff they try to charge 38.00 or some astronomical amount. DO NOT PAY IT tell them they have to honor the 4.25 or you will report them. They won't return you emails till you threaten them. DON"T PAY IT till you get the price down. The deals they offer are really great.
