Wow tnJacke, Thank you for the inside information. I know that there has been a lot of talk about this for months. Fabric sales are very expensive and I understand their position, I don't like it, but I understand it. When I was a child, I remember that a lot of department stores carried yardage, Sears for one. As home sewing decreased, so did the availability of fabric in local stores. Fabric, like everything else, keeps going up in price. I know that a lot of people live in rural areas and do not have a fabric store near them. That is what is especially sad about Walmart's decision.

Thank you so much thjacke. I heard a rumer that our Walmart was loosing the fabric March 1st, but when I aske the clerk, she said they hadn't been told anything. Something about the way she said it made me wonder, but then I forgot it. After reading your post, I intend to go on a shoping spree there tomorrow. I'm in a rural area, acutaly not too far from you.
