Sidewinder review

Post by roseytoes » Tue Oct 16, 2007 7:02 am

I just used my new sidewinder (bobbin winder) for the first time. I liked it! It was simple to use, it made a nice tight bobbin. This is one quilting gizmo I will use often.

these are wonderful - one word of advice keep multiple spools of each color thread that way you dont have to unthread your machine to wind the bobbin

I looked at the sidewinder at our LQS, but didn't buy it. I am fortunate that both my Elna and my Ellageo can prefill bobbins while I am using the machines. It is a nice feature.

My vintage Singer has a separate bobbin winder that is a feature that I wonder why they eliminated from most machines?

Viking Designer I bobbins do not work on the sidewinder, according to Fabric Depot.
