I have seen alot of medical type fabrics in walmarts fabric section. Another idea (also in walmart) is the scrub type uniforms. Don't know about everywhere else, but my local walmart carries alot of it.

Look in LQS for novelty prints. We have quite a few of these in the stores around in Michigan. The material is of good quality, and usually around 4.99 a yard. I am going to one tomorrow and I will look to see if they have any. The Fairy Frost is on sale and that is what I am going to get-I hope. Wal-mart has it also.

Grubers in St. Cloud has medical and nursing fabric. My friend bought the nursing fabric and made a very cute quilt out of it.

Check equilter.com They usually have some interesting novelty fabric. I get bowling fabric there!
