Yes, CoyoteQuilts, that sounds very much like the fabric I have!!!

Anyway, will post pics as soon as I've done the quilting! Which I will start on tomorrow mid-day at the earliest, because it is now 4a.m. and I'm not yet in bed, although heading there right now.... :-);

I used some fabric that was the Holly Taylor Northwoods collection brushed cotton and had no problem with it at all. This was not as heavy or thick as flannel, but was not stretchy at all, it was sort of between a flannel and a regular cotton fabric.

Well, I have now started quilting with it, and because it is my first time free motion machine quilting I don't really know what it is supposed to be like, but.... to my inexperienced eye, it looks like it is working absolutely great!

No puckering so far - the 505 basting spray is really doing its job - and I just love doing the free motion thing! It is soooo much fun! Will have seriously sore shoulders/neck tomorrow, though, because I still haven't figured out how to do it without tensing my shoulders and raising them so far up that they are constantly touching my ears... :-)
