Regarding the bees, they have discovered the virus that was killing off the bees, and that is being treated.

Re: Jelly Roll???
Not that anybody on this site ever buys more fabric than what the pattern calls for--I have started to cut the smaller leftover pieces into squares or strips. Squares to donate to my church humanitarian department & strips for a future scrap quilt. Like the hanger idea & use that when I have 2 strips sewn together while working on a quilt, but no room in closet right now for my 'new' strips. Took an idea from a fellow crafter & started buying the plastic drawers to store little things in. You can see in the drawer before you open it & cut down on the search process.

You girls are wonderful! Why didn't I ever think of slicing my "leftovers" into 2 1/2" strips! What was I thinking???? I always buy more than I need. When I buy fabric that I love, I can't bear to use it all up, give the quilt away and never see the fabric again.
Ok, I am a little (?) neurotic! lol
I am going to do this from now on! Thanks for the great tip!

I guess if you wash fabric first, put strips into a lingerie laundry bag and wash on gentle cycle. Do not spin in the washer, and dry while in the lingerie bag. I sometime do this with FQ's if I need to do 2 or 3 with my other laundry.

Re: Jelly Roll???
Think it would be fun to do our own jelly rolls. I bought one a couple of years ago at the Great American Quilt Shop in Denver. Should have unrolled it, as some of the fabrics were b--- ugly. And these rolls are not cheap.
Jasinta: What are they doing about/for bees now? My grandson in Denver and I are keepping track of them.
cindyg: Thanks for the Cat's Meow, etc. Must have come from 30's, meaning that is fine, grand, aewsome. etc.

love_2quilt60: I have seen these on a gillion websites, and they look neat, but I want to see what they all look like in the roll, since they are not cheap.
