Your quilt is beautiful and you can be very proud of it.
I have a question. You know in the videos on the Egg Money quilts, there is a picture of a quilt with a black hen and a black rooster on a white square with strips of black and red lattice. I saw it explained by Mrs Eleanor Burns somewhere in the videos but I cannot remember which one. Can anyone help me? Is it in the book?

What a beautiful collection of fabric for your quilt. I too, am finishing up on my Sampler 2 quilt. I plan to do the scallopped border. I used it on another quilt, the Tennessee Waltz, and it came out pretty nice. I really didn't leave that one deep enough, as on the one in the Egg Money book says use 15 inch strips. But it turned out fine. I got hooked on quilting about 10 years ago, but really got hooked when I started to watch Eleanors shows on our PBS station. I taped quite a few and really liked her methods of instructions in her books. To date I have even had the pleasure of meeting her in person at the Knoxville, TN quilt expo last year. Plan to do the same this year. Even if sometimes things do not go quite right in life, don't make lemondade --- just head for the sewing room and work on another EB quilt pattern. Works for me!

Wow! I have been postponing making the egg money sampler but now that I see yours I am encouraged to dig the book, fabric, preprinted webbing etc out of the mothballs and get to work. Doing it as a block of the month is a great idea and it does not sound so overwhelming. Thank you.
